Investigates the debate amongst scientists about what should be done with the last laboratory samples of the smallpox virus. The disease itself has been eradicated and the samples are meant to be destroyed, but some scientists are arguing for their reprieve. They believe the smallpox virus may provide valuable genetic evidence which could help the fight against autoimmune diseases and cancer.
