Film details


The story of Yorkshire clockmaker John Harrison who during the first half of the eighteenth century set about trying to solve the problem of sailors not being able to measure longitude at sea by producing a special clock. Parallel with this is the story of Lieutenant Commander Gould, who, in the 1920s begins the lengthy task of restoring Harrison's clock.
