Synopsis

Drama. The story centres on seven Iranian women who have in one way or another suffered because of the institutionalised patriarchy which exists in the country. The Iranian legal system is structured such that women are punished heavily for even the smallest perceived transgression. Several of the women have been imprisoned for crimes that are not divulged; one girl has escaped from prison to obtain an abortion. Others have turned to prostitution as a last resort. The title refers to the narrative circle of the storyline, which begins in a hospital ward and ends at a police station.
