Synopsis

Set in Thatcher's London of the '80s, AKA follows Dean, a shy working-class lad from Romford, on his quest for retribution. Kicked out of home by his abusive father, Dean introduces himself to Lady Gryffoyn, whom he believes to be a friend of his mother. Unbeknownst to him, his mother has only ever served Lady Gryffon as a waitress. Nevertheless Dean manages to wheedle his way into the posh London set of artists, aristocrats and Sloanes that are the very essence of Lady Gryffon's life. What unfolds is a mesmerising and engulfing adventure of duplicity and deception as Dean gets deeper into debt and the credit card fraud team close in on him.
