Film details

Synopsis

Set in London in 1939 and 2001...

1939: Britain prepares for war. The "Say When" - a small Jazz club situated in Shoreditch, London - is run by loving husband and wife Thomas and Masie Hickman. The venue is a hive of activity. At 31, Thomas appears to have it all, good looks, a successful business, plus a pretty and loving wife, to whom he is equally devoted. That is until a beautiful singer appears at the club...

Butterfly is the sort of woman who stops a room just by entering, and she knows it. The ambitious Butterfly is not afraid to use her beauty or her body to get what she wants - and this time she wants Thomas!

Thomas soon falls under Butterfly's wing. Torn between two very different women, Thomas devises an elaborate plan to prevent hurting either of his loves. It is this plan that has a direct impact on the lives of three people living in today's modern Britain...

2001: 31-year-old Tom and his attractive girlfriend Abigail share a house with their friend Chad. Their carefree lifestyle is changed after a visit from a solicitor who informs Tom he has inherited a disused office block in Shoreditch. Exploring the building, Tom, Abigail and Chad discover the "Say When" jazz club bricked up in the basement.

Set to a wonderful soundtrack as backdrop, the club soon reveals not only its colourful past but also the body of a man.

Who is he?

Whilst restoring the club to its former glory, the three unravel more of the club's long held secrets. But will they be able to solve the mystery of the dead man? BauerMartinezStudios.com
