Synopsis

TV film. Set during the First World War, the true story of how poet Rudyard Kipling used his influence to get his 17-year-old son Jack a commission with the Irish Guards, despite the boy's severe myopia. When Jack is reported missing in action during the Battle of Loos, his parents carry out a search for him, spanning many years.
