Synopsis

Documentary that explores the rise of Scotland’s independent music scene in the 1990s, led by the Glasgow based independent record label Chemikal Underground. The film features a collection of musicians attached to the label who in 1997 hired a bus and headed off on a road trip to Mauron in rural Brittany to play a one-off gig. Eighteen years later many of the same musicians, including members of The Delgados, Bis, Mogwai, Arab Strap and Franz Ferdinand, returned to Mauron to relive the experience.
