Hotel Salvation filmmakers: “Varanasi is a hyper-coloured place but it’s also a city of death”

Director Shubhashish Bhutiani and producer Sanjay Bhutiani discuss their moving, UNESCO prize-winning comedy drama Hotel Salvation, about an overworked son (Life of Pi’s Adil Hussain) reluctantly accompanying his ageing father on a trip to the holy city of Varanasi.

Hotel Salvation screened at BFI Southbank as part of the London Indian Film Festival. The event is hosted by Gaylene Gould, BFI Southbank’s Head of Cinemas and Events.
