Queerama, made from BFI archive footage dating back as far as 1919, is a documentary that shows how the LGBTQI community’s hopes and fears have evolved over the past 100 years. Here director Daisy Asquith explains why it was important for her to make a film that represented a wide variety of lifestyles.
