- This Australian society aims to record the history of cinemas and theatres and promote interest in their heritage and architecture. As well as providing a list of Victorian cinemas in the country with brief descriptions, site holds a helpful selection of links for researchers of cinema history including CATHS own record index. Also provides information on publications, videos and memorabilia on Australian cinema history and links to notable cinemas overseas, mostly in the US, eg. the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. - Formed in 1967, the CTA aims to study and preserve all aspects of cinemas and theatres including their architecture, decoration and film projection facilities. Site includes details of visits and events, images of theatres, publications, membership information - plus news and links.

Truly international, this impressive and extensive site covers US, Europe, Australia, Canada, Africa etc. Users can search by cinema circuits, country and state for listings of towns alphabetically. Site provides address and contact details of cinemas and links to websites. Selective to some degree. 15 cinemas listed for London, 3 for Manchester, 5 for Wellington ,New Zealand and 2 for Hong Kong.

- Provides a list of cinemas in the UK arranged alphabetically by town. Details include the number of screens, seat capacity and contact information. Covers, in separate sections Wales, England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Isle of Man/Channel Islands. - Europa Cinemas is a Pan-European support network for cinemas that mostly programme non-domestic European films and promote European cinema to young audiences. Search the database of cinemas by country or by support programme. Once selected, cinema details include contact, seat numbers, annual admissions, projector equipment etc.

- Interesting website which provides an historical profile of the nearly 200 cinemas which existed or exist in the city. Information includes dates, ownership, change of name, physical description, details of screen and seating and contemporary photographs of each building. Users can search via maps which show exact position of the cinema. Accompanying sections on design and an A-Z list of the cinemas. Detailed site which contains useful background information on the changing nature of cinemas in the 20th century within one city.
- Scottish Surviving Cinemas
- The site is dedicated to recording and archiving the Scottish cinema architectural heritage. Its focus is to provide a photographic and historical record of all surviving cinema buildings, including those now unrecognisable and, where photographs exist, those that have now been demolished. The website also includes the Scottish Cinemas Database, a fully searchable resource listing almost 1,000 cinemas built from 1902 to the present day.

- Detailed and discursive website about existing and past cinemas. Covers Paris, Toulouse and Luxembourg. Information provided includes history of each cinema, architectural details, capacity, size etc. Site also covers San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and a list of Paris cinemas no longer operating. Site includes a large number of photos of both exterior and interior shots of cinemas noted.
