Web site holding details of journal - 'Early Modern Literary Studies' May 2000 issue, dedicated to numerous articles, reviews and a detailed bibliography on Shakespeare on Screen. Covers film and television adaptations. Filmographies and audiovisual material are included. Provides abstracts and articles and reviews are available full text. Useful research resource on Shakespeare in the media.
Senses of Cinema
A quarterly online magazine based in Australia devoted to 'the serious and eclectic discussion of cinema' with an international perspective. Includes various critical approaches: auterist, formalist, etc. Site holds a useful extensive database on 'Great Directors' which includes a detailed essay, filmography and bibliography on each. Material available is divided by subject, eg comedy, features, narrative, book reviews. Plus full text archive of former issues and an impressive selection of web links.
Screen Actors Guild
Established in 1933 in the US, SAG aims to "enhance actors' working conditions" and acts as a "powerful, unified voice on behalf of artists' rights". Site includes details of the National Executive Committee, contact info. on its 20 nationwide branches and listings of recent news/events. Plus a useful FAQ section divided by subject, eg. the Entertainment Industry, Getting Started as an Actor; and information on membership and its benefits.
Scottish Cinemas and Theatres
The site is dedicated to recording and archiving the Scottish cinema architectural heritage. Its focus is to provide a photographic and historical record of all surviving cinema buildings, including those now unrecognisable and, where photographs exist, those that have now been demolished. The website also includes the Scottish Cinemas Database, a fully searchable resource listing almost 1,000 cinemas built from 1902 to the present day.
Scottish Screen Archive
The Scottish Screen Archive was established in 1976. The main purpose of the Archive is to locate, preserve and provide access to moving images reflecting Scottish twentieth and twenty first century culture and history. In addition the Archive collects a wide range of written and photographic materials relating to the development of cinema exhibition and film production in Scotland over the past 100 years.

Media Archive for Central England
The media archive for central england - MACE - is located at the University of Nottingham and is responsible for 'collecting, preserving and making accessible the moving image heritage of the East and West Midlands'. Part of the UK Film Archive Forum, the archive acts as both an educational resource and an access point for material for the public and information/media professionals. The site provides an online newsletter, contact information for queries and donating material, plus further information on staff profiles and the areas covered by its activitites.
