Kubrick Uncut!

In order to complement the Stanley Kubrick retrospective at BFI Southbank, the BFI National Library will be displaying a large selection of its materials on this unique director throughout February and March.

All 85 Kubrick-related titles on the book catalogue will be on display for library visitors to browse. The thematic range of the library's collection is broad, and international in scope, including titles in French, Italian, German and Norwegian. There are over 180 magazine articles indexed on our in-house database and available to be viewed in the Reading Room.

An untapped and invaluable primary resource, the library's microjacket collection contains press cuttings on Kubrick and his films. These can be requested at the library Counter, along with an audiotape of the 1983 Kubrick lecture given by Michael Ciment at the NFT.

A selection of scripts and pressbooks from the BFI Special Collections will be also be on display in the Reading Room cabinets.

If you're looking to get a handle on Kubrick's life and work, the BFI National Library is happy to help you discover more.
