Taking a break from study? Looking forward to the holidays? The bfi National Library is celebrating all things education in July.

From Abel - Twoj Brat (1970) to Zero de Conduit (1933) a gallery of images, on display in our Reading Room, will entertain you with trivia and fact on over 100 film and television titles.

Our main display covers all continents, genres, and ages. It includes reference items on titles such as Mädchen in Uniform (Germany 1931), Goodbye, Mr. Chips (GB 1969), Grange Hill (GB 1978-), School Daze (USA 1988), Institute Benjamenta or this dream people call human life (GB/Japan/Germany 1995), Battle Royale (Japan 2000), Takhte Siah (Iran 2000), and Bowling for Columbine (USA 2002). Some of the main titles from our recently compiled reading list for Media Studies students are also on available to view.

Material from our Special Collections will also be on display, featuring a colourful array of original pressbooks, unpublished scripts and cinema programmes from around the world. Among the other unique oddities on display are the illustrated booklet for the Spanish National Film Theatre's screening of Kes (1969) and Anthony Asquith's personal scrapbook on his production of The Browning Version (1951).
