Library Membership/passes
Access to the bfi National Library, Reading Room is by membership only. In order to continue being the world's finest resource of film and television literature, it is necessary to charge for our services. There are a range of passes and memberships available to meet all levels of use. Please be aware that when the Reading Room has reached maximum capacity, we will stop selling Day Passes for the rest of that day.
Library Passes Price List
- A Day Pass for the Library costs £6.00
- A Weekly Pass (valid for 5-consecutive working days) costs £15.00
- An Annual Pass costs £35.00 (or £28.00 for NFT members)
- A concessionary Annual Pass costs £22.00 (for students, senior citizens, registered disabled people and the unemployed)
- Institutional Library Membership costs £50 per membership for bona fide educational and cultural organisations. (These passes are for use by one person at a time.)
There is a discount on all annual pass costs if paid by Direct Debit, with the exception of Institutional annual passes.
