Photocopying

Photocopying is allowed for most materials within the current legal limits. It costs £1.00 for 8 copies and £5.00 for 40 copies (both A4 and A3) for black and white copying.
Please note that some materials cannot be photocopied due to their condition, size or copyright restrictions.

Reader printers

Materials on microfiche or microfilm can be read using our reader printers. Copies can be made using a photocopy card, however, on the newest machines the cost is double that of photocopying, i.e. a £1.00 card provides 4 sheets of A4.

Colour Photocopying Service

A colour photocopying service is available; costs will depend on the amount, paper size required, and method of delivery/collection.
Please note that this is not a same day service.

Scanning

Due to the detrimental effects of the scanning process on print materials, the use of scanners is not permitted in the library.

Digital photography & mobile phones

Digital photography (camera or mobile phone) is only permitted on completion of a copyright declaration form. These are available at the counter and must be obtained in advance of any copying.
Flash photography is not permitted.

Rights clearance

It is the responsibility of the user to clear rights.
