16+ source guides: Animation
Written and complied by Anastasia Kerameos and Heidi Rasmussen, assisted by Angela English

Although animation has always been popular, recent times have seen challenges to the established studios. These challenges include, on one hand, the development of advanced computerized graphics systems, and on the other, a deliberate "retro" look using updated versions of older techniques based on model-making. This guide includes references to the characters, the animators, the studios, the industry, and the international dimension of animation. Specific titles include Chicken Run, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Hercules, Pocahontas, Toy Story, Camberwick Green and Trumpton.
