In recent years the genre of the remake has emerged with a vengeance, with kitsch film remakes of TV classics such as Charlie's Angels and Starsky and Hutch. Classic films have also had the modern make over, with The Stepford Wives and even Psycho seeing new interpretations. The Remakes study guide helps the reader understand why the genre has thrived so much in the 21st century.
