16+ source guides: Shakespeare
Written and compiled by Anastasia Kerameos, Andrew Ormsby, Bronia Evers, and Iratxe Gardoqui

So many interpretations, performances, and homages of Shakespeare's plays have been seen on film or television, that the literature relating to these has, in turn, been vast. The guide attempts to hone this down somewhat by being highly selective. We have concentrated on adaptations by Welles, Olivier, Kurosawa, Branagh, Zeffirelli, Kozintsev, Greenaway, Polanski, Godard, Jarman, Nunn and Brook, Parker, Hoffman, Edzard, Almereyda, Taymor and Radford.
Shakespeare in Love is included along with William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet , My Own Private Idaho, Looking for Richard, Ten Things I Hate About You, Scotland P.A., The King is Alive, and the BBC Television Shakespeare series.
We are such stuff as dreams are made on, but we really couldn't cover everything...
