Current research

I have two areas of current research. In photography studies I am interested in photographic representations of time, and how photography practice (esp. vernacular culture, mobile and digital photography) gives shape to time. In cinema studies, I am interested in how design decisions are made in cinema production, as well as how approaches to design studies and design studies might be employed in order to understand wider creative decisions in filmmaking.
