Peter Todd
Peter Todd is the manager of BFI Information Services, the first point of contact for both the BFI National Archive and BFI National Library, and the various collections and materials that they hold. Annually, Information Services answer thousands of enquiries from cinemas, programme makers, festivals, film societies, teachers, students and members of the public, many about trying to find, to view, and also to screen, particular films.
As an independent curator, Peter has presented screenings in the UK and abroad. Venues have included Arnolfini Bristol, LUX Cinema London, Phoenix Leicester, Riverside Studios London, Tate Britain, Tate Modern, Tate St. Ives and MoMA New York. He has also presented work in a range of situations including studios, colleges, festivals, galleries, and domestic spaces. With LUX and the Scottish Screen Archive he has worked to preserve and make available the films of Margaret Tait.
During April 2009, BFI Southbank presents his Garden Pieces on the theme of the garden, featuring archive and artists' work which includes the single screen programmes Garden Pieces (2001), Trees Plants Flowers - Lives (2004) and a new programme, Glimpse of the Garden.
