CPD: Filmmaking in the classroom

Recharge your teaching with a collection of simple filmmaking techniques that can be used to bring learning to life across the curriculum.

The Kid (1921)

4:30pm to 6pm, 7 June, online

This short CPD course will provide teachers with various practical ideas for how you can shoot and edit films in the primary classroom. We will explore how to make a storyboard, techniques to approach the concepts of silent film and intertitles, narrative and shot types and then practical tips for how to get the best out of pupils when making a short film.

We will look at where film could be used throughout the curriculum and how to start with ‘Lumiere Minutes’ to engage pupils in discussion and start to bring out their creativity through moving images.
