AFI's 100 Greatest Comedies

Part of the Greatest Film site, listing the top 100 fiction feature-length comedies selected in 2000 by the American film community and organised by the American Film Institute. Time period dates from 1900 - 2000 and the list is preceded by pertinent facts concerning the most featured actress, director, writer etc. Arranged by rank with the Number 1 slot taken by Some Like It Hot 1959, entries include director, short cast list and a brief commentary/ synopsis excerpted from the AFI. List can be accessed directly from the AFI website, but does not provide extra information on each title or overview.

British Silent Comedy Films

An online catalogue of British silent comedy films, held in the National Film and TV Archive, for which there are Viewing Copies to be seen on BFI premises. Site also provides direct access to other BFI online catalogues.
