Sites in this category:

British Horror Films
Useful, if not comprehensive, alphabetical list of British Horror films from 1898 to 2004. Initial listings provide a one line description but link to a much fuller entry which, generally, includes main credits and cast, plus stills and personal commentary. Tone is conversational, includes quotes from scripts and is often contextual with references to other horror titles. Entries frequently link to further stills, videos, posters etc. Other options include a forum, a guide to actors/actresses in the films, a bibliography linking to Amazon's website and links to other horror websites. Attractive, informed and often humourous site on British Horror.
Hammer Films
Website of Hammer Film Productions. Includes a year-by-year filmography, news/news archive, features, details on each Hammer film, plus relevant links and merchandise.
Horror Film Compendium
Impressive, lively Horror site aimed at school children and containing extensive information, well organized and accessible. Main database of horror films, with international scope, runs from 1922 to date. High majority of titles link to page of main credits and chatty, but informed commentary. Interesting feature is the use of over 60 brief descriptive slots at end of review, eg. Bad Title, Fake Scare, Excessive Gore, and the allocation of 'skulls' to selected categories, showing how different films use similar devices. Other available data includes titles listed alphabetically, a directors and writers listing, plus arrangement by genre (eg, Alien, Demon) and by weapon used in film. Each listing includes a helpful overview. Well researched, considered site, often comic, and intelligently aimed at inspiring youngsters to explore the genre.
