Woody Harrelson

We are thrilled to welcome the actor to discuss his diverse career to date.

It's been 25 years or so since Woody Harrelson walked into the bar where everybody knows your name and charmed audiences around the world as the naïve bartender, Woody. Since his Cheers days he's carved out an incredibly diverse, and hugely impressive career as a screen actor, delivering memorable performances for directors such as the Coen Brothers, Michael Winterbottom, Spike Lee, Paul Schrader, Oliver Stone, Terrence Malick and Milos Forman, to name a few.

Rampart, screening in the Festival, is his second film with director Oren Moverman. In his latest role Harrelson plays Dave Brown, a corrupt cop struggling to cope with family commitments and relationships while under intense scrutiny from the LAPD and local officials. It's an incredibly powerful, committed and complex performance and, arguably, the finest of his career. We are thrilled to be able to welcome the actor to the Festival to discuss this role and his career to date.
