London Loves...
17 September 2008
For two nights at this year's Festival, Trafalgar Square will truly be the beating heart of the city as live music accompanies archive films celebrating London and all that London loves.
On Thurs 23 Oct, we present High Treason, a futuristic fantasy vision of London from 1929, with live piano accompaniment by Neil Brand.
Then on Fri 24 Oct, join us under Nelson's Column as we celebrate our love of the capital with London Loves..., a programme of over 15 rarely seen films (and a couple of old favourites) from across London's film archives and the BFI National Archive.
Screenings commence at 18:30, and are free and open to all.
Several hundred films about and featuring London are available to view free of charge at the Mediatheque at BFI Southbank
