We provide access to a major national research collection of documentation and information on film and television. Our priority is comprehensive coverage of British film and television, but the collection itself is international in scope.
FREE Wifi access now available in the BFI National Library Reading Room
We are pleased to announce the arrival of wireless internet access in the library. Access is free to all library members with a wireless-enabled laptop. Please ask library staff for further details.
BFI 75 - Reading Room closing early
On Monday 29 September, the library will close early at 15:00 as part of the BFI 75 anniversary celebrations. The library reopens as normal at 10:30 on Tuesday 30 September.

Temporary changes to BFI Special Collections access
Due to staffing changes we regret to inform you that we will be temporarily unable to accept any requests for Special Collections materials until the beginning of October 2008, with the exception of unpublished scripts. Pressbooks may also be ordered where no microfiche copy exists.
Please note that requests for unpublished scripts and pressbooks may take longer than usual to be fulfilled.
