Unfolding the Aryan Papers: Jane & Louise Wilson In Conversation

In 2009, acclaimed British artists Jane and Louise Wilson unveiled their Kubrick-inspired exhibition at BFI Southbank, commissioned by Animate Projects and the BFI. Part film and part portrait, Unfolding the Aryan Papers explores Kubrick’s extensively planned adaptation of Wartime Lies, the 1991 Holocaust novel by Louis Begley. The installation is comprised of memoirs from the pre-production period of the film narrated through interviews, and photos of the main actress, Johanna ter Steege. Jane and Louise here discuss this work, its enigmatic quality and infinite effect.
