Sophie Mayer on Sally Potter Season

In December 2009 the BFI presents a comprehensive season celebrating the 30 year career of acclaimed British director Sally Potter, which includes her rarely seen short film Thriller and latest groundbreaking feature Rage. With a body of work that often focuses on change, be it for the individual or for society, it seems right that as the decade reaches it’s conclusion we reflect on the work of a director whose films embody shifting times. Provocative, intelligent, and rich with cinematic beauty, the films of Sally Potter receive a deserved celebration at BFI Southbank.
