A Charmed Life + Q&A

Whilst researching the history of the Caribbean people living in the UK, director Patrick Vernon came across the fascinating story of Jamaican-born airman Eddie Noble. He was so inspired by Noble’s testimony that he decided to chart more experiences of the British Caribbean community. Following a screening of Vernon’s powerful and deeply moving documentary, a panel of speakers including the daughter of Eddie Noble Denise, Diane Abbott MP, Patrick Vernon, Erika Myers-Davis and Chair of the Black and Asian Studies Association Marika Sherwood discuss the idea of the black British experience and how it has hitherto been overlooked by the education system.
