The BFI Mediatheque

As part of the BFI's mission to provide the public with unprecedented access to the world's largest film and television archive, the Mediatheque allows visitors to browse a huge compilation of complete film and televison programmes, around 85% of which are unavailable to view anywhere else. Admission is absolutely free and the user-friendly interface allows quick and simple perusing through themed collections. In this video Head Curator Robin Baker and Curator Simon McCallum introduce the project and some of the content on offer, demonstrating its ease of use and detailing the project's essential contribution to the guardianship of Britain's moving image heritage.
