Agnès Varda on Amacord

As part of the Agnès Varda Season and the special members only Screen Epiphany strand at BFI Southbank, Agnès Varda introduces one of her most beloved films, Fellini's Amarcord. The coming of age Italian drama follows the lives of a wild cast of characters living in the fictional city of Borgo, in 1930's fascist Italy, and at the moment of its release was referred to as "Fellini's most marvelous film." Here filmmaker Agnès Varda recollects her first encounter with the film through anecdotes and endearing stories of her experiences on set with Federico Fellini, as well as explaining how the film has impacted on her life and work.
