Tamara Drewe + Q and A

After the public premiere of Tamara Drewe at BFI Southbank, director Stephen Frears was joined by cast members Gemma Arterton, Dominic Cooper, Tamsin Greig, Roger Allam and Luke Evans along with screenwriter Moira Buffini and author/illustrator Posy Simmonds for a Q and A hosted by Dave Calhoun. Here Frears comments on the beauty and accuracy of Simmonds' graphic novel and his intention to preserve these qualities in the film, and Simmonds talks about her memories of the english countryside and the inspiration behind her characters. Buffini also describes in detail her excitement when she first got her hands on Simmonds' work, and finally the cast members share how they gave life to the characters under Frears' distinctive direction.
