American Express Screen Talk with Mark Romanek

The first of the 2011 American Express Screen Talks featured director Mark Romanek, whose Never Let Me Go opened the BFI London Film Festival. In an in depth discussion chaired by David Gritten, Romanek takes us through his work in feature filmmaking, talking about One Hour Photo, as well as his accomplished career in music videos, in particular lending insight into his vision for Nine Inch Nail's 'Closer', Johnny Cash's 'Hurt', and Janet Jackson's 'Got Til It's Gone'. Romanek demonstrates insight and humility as he shares the poetry of his practice with an enraptured audience.
