They Never Slept + Q&A

Following a screening of They Never Slept (1991), a superb black comedy set in the world of World War II agents, written by Simon Gray, the cast and crew remember the late British playwright and his contribution to television drama.

Dame Harrier Walter recalls her embarrassment at how she was credited when the drama was first screened, while Miriam Margolyes relates her first impressions of Gray - “a mad child living inside a Cambridge academic”. The event kicked off a season of Simon Gray's work at BFI Southbank.
