Opening Our Eyes: How film contributes to the culture of the UK

How much film viewing do we do, and where do we like to do it? What effect does film have on us, and how do we decide what to see?

In a major report for the BFI by Northern Alliance and Ipsos MediaCT, representatives discuss the cultural impact of film in the UK and the many factors and influences affecting public access to it. After introductions by Amanda Nevill (BFI Chief Executive) and Carol Comley (BFI Head of Strategic Development), Mike Kelly, Ian Christie and Chris Chandler (Northern Alliance) reveal the results of their research.
