Ways of Seeing + Q&A

Director Michael Dibb discusses working with writer and broadcaster John Berger on Ways of Seeing, the groundbreaking 1972 BBC art programme. Dibb recalls being given real freedom by the BBC to make the show, and suggests that such working conditions would be inconceivable today. He talks about Berger's Marxist politics and his charisma as a TV personality, and recalls the initially muted press response to the programme.
