"[People] don't like outsiders. Except when they're dead."
Writer and performer Penny Arcade, a regular collaborator with Quentin Crisp, is interviewed at BFI Southbank following a screening of An Englishman in New York, starring John Hurt as the "stately homo of England".
Arcade recalls some of Crisp's most polarising moments, including a controversial comment about murdered child beauty queen JonBenét Ramsey, and points out differences between the character depicted in the film and the man she knew.
