Generations of Love: Stonewall

An opportunity for older members of the LGBT community to share memories of Stonewall and its repercussions.

Share your memories of Stonewall and its repercussions - this turning point for the gay rights movement. An antidote to our youth-centred culture, Generations of Love is the BFI's strand of events for older members of the LGBT community, which uses film and TV as the stimulus for exploring memories of the past and examining the present.

The end of the Sixties was a turbulent time for gays and lesbians on both sides of the Atlantic. What are your memories of Stonewall or your first encounters with gay liberation? What were the repercussions for lesbians and gay men in the UK and what has been its legacy? Were you there? Do you have personal memories to share?
