It’s the early 1990s in Tuscon, Arizona and the word around high school is that the basketball team is full of lesbians. And so, of course, sixteen-year-old Anna Hesik joins up. She also falls head over heels for Quinn, the "mac daddy" of the team, a handsome butch on a mission to seduce as many girls as possible. Grainy VHS footage of slumber parties and Salt-N-Pepa dance routines is intercut with dramatic re-enactments and interviews with former team members. Lady Trojans explores sexuality, love, heartbreak, coming out and coming of age. This is a film for all of us who stood on the sidelines as a teenager - go Lady Trojans!
