Eye-opening documentary looking at the social and political position of the LGBT community in Nepal. Tritiya Prakriti is a Sanskrit term used in religious texts to refer to gender variance, also referred to as ‘third gender'. In 2007 the Supreme Court in Nepal made a ruling that acknowledged third gender identity and protected the rights of sexual minorities; but despite legalising gay marriage in 2008, the Nepalese government have been slow to take many of the rights of this community on board. In Other Nature we meet some of the people these changes are affecting, including third gender activists, a lesbian couple from India who come to Nepal for help and the founder of Nepalese LGBT group Blue Diamond.
