Les Chansons d'amour

Uniquely Parisian tale of sexual fluidity, love, loss and happiness.

Pretty young things Ismaël (Louis Garrel), Julie (Ludivine Sagnier) and Alice (Clotilde Hesme) are in a threesome, conducted with breezy Parisian ease. They pace the streets, collars upturned, singing of love - for this is an Umbrellas of Cherbourg-inspired musical, of the kind where characters slide casually into song.

Things seem sweet until a shocking event interrupts the playfulness and Ismaël is left wandering alone. Add the arrival of a handsome young Breton into the mix and you have a tale of sexual fluidity, love, loss and happiness - as queer as queer can be.
