For those of us who love a good soap but like our representation of lesbian life a little grittier than The L Word, this low-budget TV pilot from bright young thing Amber Sharp (Triple Minority, LLGFF 2006) hits all the right buttons.

Starring, amongst others, Skyler Cooper (The Butch Mystique) as a gorgeous black butch with a secret, Nisha Ganatra (Chutney Popcorn) as a woman escaping her traditional Indian family, and, wait for it, Guinevere Turner as an hermaphrodite who accidentally impregnates her girlfriend, a diverse cast of insanely attractive queers get down to the business of life in an LA soap. Together they form an extended queer family of neighbours, lovers and - in best TV tradition - secret siblings. There's even a token hunk for the boys and bis to look at. Enjoy!
