Happy 100th Birthday Bette Davis

Bring along your own favourite Bette moments to share!

On the day of the centenary of the birth of one of the most adored of all Hollywood stars Bette Davis, we are delighted to welcome Dr Martin Shingler, University of Sunderland, to give an illustrated lecture on Bette's movies and why gay men and lesbians love her so.

After playing the iconic theatrical Margot Channing in All About Eve, Bette Davis launched a thousand drag queens and a million quips. But in many of her films like Jezebel, Now, Voyager and What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? she provided something that was easy to identify with. Bring along your own favourite Bette moments to share.
