The Raincoats: Fairytales - A Work in Progress + Panel Discussion

We are thrilled to present a unique opportunity to get a first glimpse of this definitive documentary about seminal punk band and 'Godmothers of Grunge' The Raincoats; made up of live footage from the past three decades, much of it unseen, and a series of new interviews with people who knew the band in the late seventies as well as artists and musicians who have been affected or inspired by their work. Ana da Silva, Gina Birch and manager Shirley O'Loughlin appear alongside, among others, journalist Vivien Goldman, Rough Trade founder Geoff Travis, writer Lucy O'Brien, Beth Ditto of Gossip, Peaches, No Bra, Jane Woodgate of The Mo-dettes, Viv Albertine of The Slits, Andy Gill of Gang of Four, Sonic Youth and Chicks on Speed. The music event of the year!

This screening will be followed by a panel discussion with Gina Birch, Ana da Silva, Shirley O'Loughlin and special guests plus a rare live performance by The Raincoats.
