Newspaper cuttings

We hold over 2,000,000 cuttings in all.

These are from a range of the UK national press and a small number of other publications. They date back to the 1930s. They are organised by Title, Name or Personality, Event, Country or Subject. Most are stored on microfilm.

Festivals information

We index articles from Periodicals about particular festivals.

We also have information files that may contain:

• Newspaper cuttings
• Programmes and catalogues
• Publicity material

The earliest we have is for the 1934 Venice Film Festival.

Only files since 1994 are held at our Stephen Street site. Earlier ones must be ordered in advance.
