The Night of the Hunter on Blu-ray

Five copies of the the Charles Laughton classic to be won.

Robert Mitchum’s self-appointed preacher who travels to a small town in search of his executed cellmate’s stash of cash has been regarded as a career-best performance. Now Arrow films bring the terrifying The Night of the Hunter to Blu-ray on 7 October.

For the first time the film will be presented on video in its original aspect ratio (1.66:1). It includes an extensive amount of extra features such as a two-and-a-half-hour documentary on the making of the film with outtakes and behind-the-scenes footage, an archival interview with cinematographer Stanley Cortez, and an isolated music and effects soundtrack.
