A number of faces from British film and from across the UK’s screen industries have been included in the Queen’s birthday honours.

These include actors Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave) and Eddie Redmayne, who were awarded a CBE and an OBE respectively for services to drama. It’s the latest in a long line of honours for Redmayne, who received Oscar and BAFTA awards for The Theory of Everything (2014) earlier in the year.

Amanda Nevill, CEO of the BFI, received a CBE for services to the film industry while Lenny Henry received a Knighthood for his services to drama and charity and Benedict Cumberbatch was awarded a CBE for services to drama. Other actors to receive honours include Martin Clunes, who received an OBE for services to drama, charity and the community in Dorset, and Lesley Manville, star of many Mike Leigh films, named an OBE for services for drama.
