The Long Day Closes (1992)

Remember A Charity in your Will Week is an annual awareness week designed to encourage more people to consider leaving a gift to charity when writing a will. Gifts in wills are still the foundation of many of Britain’s charities, creating almost £2 billion each year, the equivalent of 19 Comic Reliefs. Without this income, many charities would simply not exist and others would have to cut crucial services.

If the BFI has enriched your love of film, you could leave a gift in your will to ensure that future generations can also benefit from our work. Every day the BFI reaches, inspires and excites audiences with the power of the moving image. Our venues, archives, festivals, film releases and online resources offer an extraordinary range and choice of film not provided elsewhere.

It is simple to include the BFI in your will, by directing your gift to the British Film Institute, registered charity number 287780. If you would like more information on suggested wording for your will you can contact us on the details below.

There are many things to consider when writing your will and we would be glad to help with any questions you may have. All conversations are confidential and non-binding. So that we can keep you updated on how legacy giving is helping the BFI, we would be grateful if you could let us know if you are considering leaving a gift to the BFI.
