Researching archival material
We have two separate ways to find out what is available to license from the BFI National Archive online. The first is a dedicated Footage Sales Search Interface to the BFI Film & TV Database which allows you to perform text searches through items for which we have the rights like COI, Mitchell and Kenyon, and Topical Budget. The second is a database that we've set up to allow you to search through non BFI data we've inherited from the COI about Government Films and the BUFVC about Educational & Television Films. This can be accessed here;

If you can't find what you're looking for please remember to give us a ring anyway because there are some collections that are not fully catalogued online.
