Researching archival material

We have two separate ways to find out what is available to license from the BFI National Archive online. The first is a dedicated Footage Sales Search Interface to the BFI Film & TV Database which allows you to perform text searches through items for which we have the rights like COI, Mitchell and Kenyon, and Topical Budget. The second is a database that we've set up to allow you to search through non BFI data we've inherited from The British Tourist Authority about VisitBritain, COI about Government Films and the BUFVC about Educational & Television Films. We've also included some entertaining synopses written by Bernard Braden about his interviews. These can also be accessed here:

If you can't find what you're looking for please remember to give us a ring anyway because there are some collections that are not fully catalogued online.
