Something wicked this way comes: Macbeth for KS4

Study day providing a detailed approach to Shakespeare’s Macbeth and its screen adaptations.

The Tragedy of Macbeth (2021)

10:30am to 3pm, 6 February 2024, BFI Southbank

A clip-based, activity-filled study day aimed at KS4 English students, offering a range of approaches to Shakespeare’s Macbeth, exploring how it has been adapted for the cinema over time.

We will look at extracts from the original text and compare them to the film adaptations alongside some analysis of the overarching themes of the play and how these are shown in a few key scenes.

Booking information

  • £10 per student. Accompanying teachers / adults are charged £1 per 5 students – otherwise student rate applies.
  • £40 for teachers attending without students.
  • To book call 020 7815 1329 and pay using a credit/debit card or download, print and return the booking form with cheque or card details.
  • Schools which have over 20% of students receiving free school meals should ask about a discount when booking.
  • Please book by 12pm the day before the event.
  • We cannot reserve seats, send invoices or accept BACS payments.
